What is Chiropractic? What can it help with?Chiropractic is a licensed health care profession that emphasizes the body's ability to heal itself. In a nutshell, Chiropractors correct joints that are out of alignment. Chiropractic is a safe and effective way to reduce or relieve pain related to or caused by the musculoskeletal system, including general pain and soreness, limited range of motion, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, difficulty sleeping, scoliosis, ear infections, even allergies and digestion.

Is getting an adjustment painful?Generally, no, getting an adjustment is not painful. Most patients experience immediate and lasting relief following an adjustment. However, some patients may experience some discomfort after a large correction. This is temporary, and will subside shortly thereafter. If not immediately, typically within 24 hours.
-
Is Chiropractic safe?Chiropractic treatment is one of the safest forms of non-invasive health care. While nothing is entirely without risk, you are around 8x more likely to be struck by lightning than to experience a serious complication as a result of spinal manipulation.
-
Is Chiropractic treatment ongoing? The treatment you receive is always at your discretion. We will never force you into a "treatment plan" or "subscription". We usually recommend new patients or those with limited exposure to chiropractic treatment be seen multiple times during their first few weeks, to see how they are progressing. Some patients choose to book appointments out at regular intervals, others will call in as they need it. The choice is always yours.
-
Do you accept walk-ins?We do accept walk-in appointments, however, we give priority to patients that have scheduled in advance. We recommend, especially during peak times, to give our office a call or text to be given an estimated wait time.
-
I'm coming from another Chiropractor or have seen one recently, am I a New Patient?New to us! If you're coming from another Chiropractor, or have seen one in the past 3 years, you will be a Transient Patient. This just means that we will be able to get your records from your previous place of care, meaning considerably less paperwork for you and a faster appointment! There is just one additional authorization form needed for record release, that will be presented during your first visit.
-
Are you accepting new patients? How can I schedule an appointment? We are currently accepting new patients! Typically, to ensure the best of care, we schedule new appointments for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. New patients typically take anywhere from 30-60 minutes. Please bring your driver's license and (if applicable) your most current insurance card. To get scheduled, simply reach out to us by calling or texting us at 517 994 6007.
-
How long does an adjustment take? How long will I have to wait?Adjustments typically take between 5-10 minutes. New Patients can anticipate a 30-45 minute exam. We do our best to minimize wait times. With a scheduled appointment, you can expect a 0-5 minute wait, with a maximum of 15 minutes during our busiest times.
-
What does it cost to get an adjustment? It depends on your Healthcare Plan's coverage. We'll calculate what you owe after processing your insurance card. However, our cash rate provides a good idea of what is charged before deductions from insurance. On our Cash Rate, charges are as follows: - New Patient Exam (one-time, not applicable to Transients): $85 - Cervical X-Ray: $70 - Individual Regular/Return Appointment: $40
-
Is an X-Ray Required? You do not need to have an X-Ray taken to receive Chiropractic care. However, an X-Ray can be invaluable to investigate a potential complication and thus may be recommended by the doctor as needed. Not every patient will be recommended an X-Ray but in general, new patients requiring a large correction, those without a history of chiropractic care and those with complications requiring greater detail will be recommended an X-Ray.
-
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor? It depends on your insurance provider. In most cases, you will not need a referral, however if your provider is Blue Care Network, BCN Advantage or Sparrow Advantage, a referral may be required. You can request a referral from your Primary Care Physician. If you have questions regarding this process, please consult your GP, or contact us by calling/texting 517 994 6007.
-
Do you accept my insurance? Are you in-network for my healthcare plan?More than likely we take your insurance- we accept most major insurance providers including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, most Medicare plans, Cigna, Priority Health, Physician's Health Plan, Cofinity, McLaren, and Zelis. If you'd like to see if we accept your insurance or are a provider for your healthcare plan's network, please send us a message or give our office a call at 517 994 6007.
